Words of Wisdom
I just wanted to give a few words of wisdom to everyone who owns a computer. HAVE THINGS SAVED ON A USB DRIVE. Last Thursday my computer decided that it wanted to blow up! Since thursday I have learned how to take apart my lap top. this includes taking out the mother board, memory and the cover of my computer.(with the help of a dell representive). to no luck my computer still does not work! however, a dell tech is coming to my house next week. but my computer still ate all of my papers that were due friday. The one thing that i am very happy about is that i have not started writing my work sample and that has not been lost with everything else.

How completely horrible. I hope that you can retrieve your work. New Years Day my hard drive committed suicide, and I did lose my work sample, and everything else. Fortunately the IT guy at ESD helped me get up and running and showed me how to replace the drives and upgrade the memory, etc. There are places where you can send your hard drive and try to retrieve your data, photos, etc. But it can be expensive, so I think I will wait until I have a job. I hope the Dell guy can get your work back for you. It is in there, it is just a matter of getting it back, is what they told me. Good luck.
